Je vais vous parler de ma première lora et de ce super chien. Ceci est une lora de mon chien qui, malheureusement, n'est plus parmi nous depuis juin 2024. Il s'appelait Harley et a vécu jusqu'à l'âge de 15 ans, moitié Shiba Inu et moitié Berger Allemand.

Nous avons connu ce chien par le biais d'une SPA (Société Protectrice des Animaux). Il avait alors 9 ans et cela faisait 6 mois qu'il était au refuge, car ses anciens maîtres ne l'avaient pas récupéré après (soi-disant) une fugue.

Harley était maigre quand nous l'avons récupéré et il était angoissé. Dès son arrivée chez nous, il s'est vite adapté à sa nouvelle vie. Il s'est parfaitement fait à mon handicap et prenait le temps quand je l'emmenais en promenade. Il était gentil et drôle, et les chiens et chats perdus qui venaient en attendant leurs maîtres étaient toujours les bienvenus.

Il est parti à cause d'un cancer qui a commencé à lui donner des signes au cerveau (crises d'épilepsie, saignement du museau). Jusqu'à la veille et même jusqu'au dernier jour, il a pu profiter de la vie et il est parti la tête haute avant que le cancer ne le ronge.

Tout ce long texte pour vous dire (sans vouloir jouer au grand défenseur des animaux) qu'un animal, quel que soit le lien que vous avez avec lui, si vous le traitez avec respect, il vous le rendra au centuple.

Donc, quelque part, Harley fait le tour du monde ici et là grâce à vous.

I am going to talk to you about my first lora and this wonderful dog. This is a lora of my dog who, unfortunately, is no longer with us since June 2024. His name was Harley, and he lived to the age of 15, half Shiba Inu and half German Shepherd.

We met this dog through a SPA (Société Protectrice des Animaux). He was 9 years old at the time, and he had been at the shelter for 6 months because his former owners did not come to retrieve him after (supposedly) a runaway.

Harley was thin when we rescued him, and he was anxious. From the moment he arrived at our home, he quickly adapted to his new life. He perfectly adjusted to my disability and took his time when I took him for walks. He was kind and funny, and the lost dogs and cats that came while waiting for their owners were always welcome.

He passed away due to cancer, which began to show signs in his brain (seizures, bleeding from the nose). Until the eve and even on the last day, he was able to enjoy life, and he left with his head held high before the cancer consumed him.

All this long text to tell you (without wanting to play the great defender of animals) that an animal, whatever the bond you have with it, if you treat it with respect, it will return the favor a hundredfold.

So, in a way, Harley is traveling the world here and there thanks to you.
