An ancient vampiric horror many thousands of years old, Waldakir Rahtep took the blood kiss from W'soran and served in the court of the Great Necromancer Nagash. When Nagash was defeated by Sigmar, Waldakir fled into the wilderness and lived in hiding.

Waldakir is a character originated from the 2006 RTT PC game Warhammer: Mark of Chaos. Being an campaign-exclusive character, he served as a secondary antagonist, guarding a key plot item from the Empire player, and must be defeated to advanced the story.

A Necrach character of the same name was submitted to the Nemesis Crown global campaign hosted by Games-Workshop in 2007 by participants, and became the leading character of the Vampire Count faction during that time.
