Content Story:

During the monkey-manned spaceflights of the 1960s, one rocket veered off course, sending a chimp named Charles off into the outer reaches of space. After many years, Charles' craft was discovered by the most intelligent race in the universe; a running gag involves them being so advanced their name is unpronounceable, the characters mistake references to them as empty pauses.

Shao Lin was originally a Chinese golden monkey in Tibet. When she was young, she was separated from her mother, which traumatized her. As an adult, she was worshiped by humans as a goddess in a Buddhist temple in Tibet, where her primary role seemed to be being consulted by humans to make holy decisions for them. This included presiding over martial arts combat between humans and deciding the victors.

One day, two human men fought each other in martial arts combat in her temple, which she oversaw along with another human attendant. The attendant soon called the fight over and she was tasked with deciding the victor. Just before she could make her decision known, she was teleported by Orbitron. The humans believed she had ascended to the heavens and regarded it as a miracle.
